THIS MONTH IN 252 BASICS
(School-age small group Bible study, Sunday mornings @9:30)
The virtue for the month of May is Patience- waiting until later for what you want now. This month we're camping out on the Promised Land: the 40 year wait; trying to take the Promise Land when God siad wait; Rahab and the spies; and the fall of Jericho.
Memory Verse: Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Psalms 27:4 NIV
Week 1: Don't get tired of doing the right thing. (Joshua and Caleb had to wait 40 years, even though they did the right thing.)
Week 2: If you don't wait, it could cost you. (The Israelites try to take the promised land after God said not to.)
Week 3: If you don't wait, it could hurt others. (Rahab and the spies' patience yielded good things for them and others.)
Week 4: Don't miss out because you thinkg you can't wait. (Jericho fell because the Israelites waited patiently on God.)
